Nipmuc's Lead Learner Workshops
Lead Learner Workshops are Nipmuc's reimagined leadership sessions in which students and educators work together to explore the future of our school. Lead Learner Workshops are attended by administrators and department chairs. In addition, they are open to any student and any teacher at our school. They encourage school-wide participation in the exploration of new ideas and the future of learning at our school. Since September 2017, these monthly workshops have provided a platform for everyone in the school - including students, staff, faculty, and administrators - to work together in leading Nipmuc.

Check out some of the aspects of Lead Learner Workshops that make them a unique leadership opportunity.
- They focus on exploring the future. Lead Learner Workshops provide a regular opportunity for our school community to move beyond the fast pace of our day-to-day responsibilities in order to imagine the future of our school. We use these meetings to explore new ideas and consider how to pursue an aspirational vision of school.
- They flatten the leadership of our school. Every organization needs leaders; however, the strongest communities value the leadership of all of their members. In Lead Learner meetings, everyone from freshmen in their first weeks of school to our most experienced faculty members has a chance to shape the future of our school.
- They are actionable. Talking for talking’s sake?... No thank you! Lead Learners creates a space not only to explore ideas but also to put new practices to work, to challenge the assumptions we make about school, and to get actionable in building a school we believe in. Each meeting leaves participants - students, teachers, and administrators alike - with practical ideas about next steps.
- They are collaborative. Lead Learner Workshops are structured to be collaborative, allowing participants to work together to become problem-seekers and problem-solvers in the challenge of making school inspiring.
